About Us

Enid b. is a Dallas-based artisan botanical skin and hair care brand rooted in Jamaican heritage, herbal tradition, and the wisdom of founder Kareen Harmon’s grandmother, Enid, who introduced her to the healing power of herbs and natural living.

What began in 2012 with a shea butter formula created to soothe Kareen’s own severe dry skin has grown into a collection of handcrafted bar soaps, body butters, scrubs, herbal oils, and botanical hair and skin care.

Today, Kareen’s work extends beyond formulating products. As an herbal educator and gardener, she grows many of the herbs used in Enid b. products and teaches others how to grow, understand, and use plants through hands-on workshops in herbal wellness, botanical skin and hair care, and traditional making practices. This connection between garden, education, and formulation is at the heart of Enid b.

Every formula is thoughtfully crafted in small batches using high-quality organic, wild-crafted, locally sourced, and garden-grown ingredients whenever possible, including herbs grown in our herbal garden and fresh goat milk sourced from Bonton Farms in South Dallas. Our products are made with intention, eco-conscious packaging, and a deep respect for the relationship between plants, people, and tradition.

A Few Fun Facts About Kareen

  • I am married to Eddie, who wears many hats as my partner in life, my friend, editor-in-chief  (a role he didn't sign up for), co-brainstormer, and Enid b. unpaid Vice President of North America and Beyond.
  • Nature is where I see God's hands very evidently, so you will often find me in our herbal garden, even in the hot summer heat.
  • I love to teach others and share my knowledge, so I teach workshops year-round on herbal preventative medicine, food preservation, soap-making, gardening, and more.
  • I have been a lover of old black-and-white movies (The Women from the  1940s is a fave) since I was a teen, and I have an affinity for the cheesiest movies ever, like Nacho Libre. 
  • I have a love of fruits that stems from living on my grandparents' homestead in Jamaica as a child (jackfruit is a fave), but my guilty pleasure snack is soft-baked chocolate chip cookies.
